Cats are the connoisseurs of lights and shadows,
and they find the most unworldly spots to land around
to play the game of hide and seek.
The precise landing of the sunlight
falling on the ground, sharply defined by the shafts,
and the lofty arches of the monastic dwellings,
everything is bathing in the morning light.
And a solitary cat wonders at the mundane happening
of light traveling through the bars.
