Summer is here,
cast away your shoes;
it's Paris!It's an afternoon, Paris!
Cool is the breeze, and watch them shadows; it's Paris!
The year is 1960, and they bring me back
the memories of Baudelaire and Mallarme, Rilke and Camus!
Heavens; it's Paris!
There is elegance in the air, and a sweet passion.
Someone decides to take a day off;
a vacant lot, a public bench, and Paris
bathing in the afternoon sun!
Where else is heaven if not here?
