SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS
The cuddly girls played
the game of choice and dream.
The elder one smiled as she watched,
and .the younger one played.
Amused, her eyes twinkled with a gleam.
The gloss of the marbles tossed
reflected and made their faces shine.
They playfully vied with each other,
pointing to the brightest, saying "Mine"!
And the game would go
losing and winning until the call of mother.
"Come on girls; time to go to school."
The golden times, best to recall
when you tally the losses and gains,
and the sublime acts of giving up the game
in favour of the one who needed to win.
The little acts of sacrifice which go a long way..
